About Perdido

Perdido is a magazine focused on innovation and excellence in management and leadership. Published by the not-for-profit Trinity Foundation, Perdido has found a home with many managers and executives in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors, not to mention public officials, academics, and other professionals.

Perdido has strived, since 1994, to deliver cutting edge management theory and practice in a reader-friendly package. Perdido features essays; profiles of organizations and their practices; interviews; and reviews of the best books about leadership, management, human relations, and related topics.

Perdido is the brainchild of Art Dykstra, the CEO of Trinity Services and author of Outcome Management: Achieving Outcomes for People with Disabilities. When he was growing up in Racine, Wisconsin, "perdido" was something you said when you saw a car with one headlight out. If you were first to say it, you then got to punch your buddy's shoulder. Or, if you were lucky, you got to kiss your date (Perhaps you could have punched her in the shoulder as well). Art found that a fitting title for a magazine about noticing new ideas about mindfulness, in a management context.
